Justice N.C. Jain

Justice N.C. Jain having born on the 5th of April, 1939 in Karnal a district in joint Punjab, in the family of a lawyer Shri R.S. Jain, Advocate, initially had schooling in Sanatan Dharam and D.A.V. Schools at Karnal, he studied law in Delhi University. After practising with his father for about six months, Justice Jain shifted to High Court, Chandigarh in July,1962 and was designated as senior Advocate in the year 1982. He was elevated to the Bench from the Bar as a permanent Judge on 27th of June, 1988. He remained a Judge of the High Court for a little less than 12 years. He worked for one year as Acting Chief Justice and Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court. He was working as Chairperson of the Punjab State Human Rights Commission from 27/2/2003 to 28/02/2006.
